Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend the preschool?
Children residing in the Tri-Town community  who are 3 and 4 years old by August 31st are eligible for enrollment in that school year.

Is there a program for three year olds and one for four year olds?
No, we have a mixed age class, an arrangement that serves everyone well. Our "olders" have the opportunity to be mentors and leaders for the younger children and of course the younger children learn so much from watching and listening to their peers.  Research confirms that a mixed age group provides so many opportunities for children's learning and our experience supports that.

What are the program hours?
The preschool hours are 9:00-12:00.  A limited number of children attend an extended day program from 12:00-3:00.

How can I enroll my child?
Applications are accepted in February for the following school year.  They are submitted to Jen Carreiro in the Tri-Town business office.

How many days should I enroll my child?
Most three year olds attend two days a week and many four year olds attend 3 days a week, but some children also attend five days a week. We accommodate many different schedules to meet individual and family needs.
